Onsite parking was available, a plus.
The room was not very clean. I noticed hairs on the bed. The curtain pole looked like it was about to fall down. The room was accessed by a fair few stairs, a little inconvenient.

i found a superior double room overlooking the gardens it had great views. the rear garden was well maintained and perfect for an evening drink.
the reception was occasionally understaffed therefore a queue was inevitable

dirty carpetstained mattress
the rooms needed work. the carpet was really dirty. you could write your name on the bathroom tiles. there were stains on the pillows and a huge stain in the middle of the mattress. i felt sick thinking about laying on that mattress.
